Although many minority citizens would likely make excellent political leaders, such as Winsome Sears, there has been no evidence to suggest that running minority candidates for office has ever helped win elections. There is a very simple reason for this:
Though the left has pushed for "more diversity and inclusion", the true contest does not directly concern race or diversity of races, but ideas and ways of thinking. When a pro-American figure or organization chooses one candidate for office over another because they are either a woman or are a minority, you are pandering. It immediately becomes clear that you are attempting to follow the left's rules while trying to avoid their game, and no one respects this. Very rarely has a minority candidate been selected to run on the grounds that they genuinely are the best possible choice. This is a form of dishonesty, and neither the left nor the undecided are going to suddenly be convinced to support the republican side as a result of such a candidacy, nor are the infrequent or national election voters going to suddenly be more inclined to vote in other elections because of the selection of a minority candidate. Instead, people choose whether to vote based on their level of attention to distractions, the quality of the candidate, their ideas, their ability to engage/generate interest, and whether the people are convinced that the person is a leader.
