The concern as to how prone students and some young adults are to socialism or communism, is the end result of the lack of good parenting and leadership they had in the home. In many cases, this was virtually non-existent, and the parents or relatives passively let the school system raise their children for them - whether public or private. In other cases there was a degree of teaching, discipline and leadership, but also carelessness, neglect or distance relationally - too many holes in the love they saw and experienced. This is usually between the parents themselves, and they and the child, not simply one or the other. It is not only what is taught that is important, but also what is "caught". The coldness or darkness in these homes shapes their view of the entire society, its authority and existing "order", regardless of what that "order" may be. As a result, they do not have the means to see the sunlight in the world. Instead, they are extremely sensitive to its problems, inconveniences or challenges - including healthy ones. With this comes a foundational mindset that nearly everything from the present or past is bad, deeply flawed or lacking in a way that is absurd or outrageous, with the response being that it should just be "replaced" or "dumped". With this mindset comes an intolerance or impatience for what is "old", rather than the understanding, patience, and spirit to fix its problems, in the interest of restoring what is good.
If the family was of the left, the child may "rebel", but they nonetheless are a product of their background. Since they do not know anything else, their only answer will likely be to veer to a more extreme left. The "replacement" mentality that says, "out with the old; In with the new", is childish and vengeful by nature, as well as every action that comes from it. By nature, this mindset is not confined just to one particular area of life, but can carry into any or all areas of life, from the subject of "absurdly low" minimum wages, to the "old, white patriarchy"; From "discrimination" in law enforcement to the peaceful, rural land that they can't stand to leave alone; From "outdated technology" that in fact works wonderfully to older cars or musical instruments, which they say has "aged out", when in fact they are better than 95% of anything you could get that's newer.
Today, this mentality is not just evident in some of the younger generation. It can also be seen in the elder generation, to the extent they chooses to support already known, corrupt leadership, then opt to leave both their city and children /family behind for another state when the results aren't good, rather than support new and better leadership. To such people I would say this: We know who you are. We've seen the developments and the houses built in our neighborhoods, and have seen our own costs of living rise dramatically as a result. We have felt the cultural changes, and have experienced many of unintended, uninvited consequences of having hundreds of thousands of new arrivals added to the state population. We know that you are the parents of many of the students and young adults in the streets of New York, who support Mamdani. You have unfinished business. It is time to listen to the words of Curtis Sliwa, and to improve, rather than move. You know who he is, and that he is the one whose leadership will genuinely improve your city. This improvement begins with your supporting him, and this improvement includes the reconciliation or at least meaningful communication with your children, perhaps in a way you've never done before. If you are not of the mind even to do this, you certainly are not welcome in our neighborhoods or states.

Nate Friedman has made an important video showing the main non-Muslim entity behind Mamdani's campaign. According to main communist figures themselves, "Democratic Socialist" does not exist as a separate movement, group or ideology, independent of communism. It is simply a dress / window term, used in public relations to better 'sell' the communist program. In light of this, and in light of the religion he belongs to, Zorhan Mamdani came to the country under false pretenses, and his entire career and public persona as something other than a communist is a lie. Coming to the country under false pretenses, receiving foreign campaign donations and running/holding office as a communist is illegal. In the 1970's, there was a split in the communist party, between those who wanted to continue following the path of Bill Ayres, and those who thought it best to study and implement Chinese communism. This faction took "students" on field trips to China and among other things, are trained to be ...
