Much of the focus on how democrats have tried to "transform" America has been, rightfully, on their regulatory schemes, and the government agencies that correspond to them. Yet all of this, and what they have been doing outside of Washington, is made possible by their spending. Cut the spending down, and you starve the behemoth, known as the swamp. You starve the special interests, the planned economy, the fake stock market numbers and the large corporations, including home builders, who are instruments for the Green New Deal. They move people out of the cities to deindustrialize them, and resettle them into the suburbs to "urbanize" them. They then call it "economic growth". Starving them now is a great Christmas present, and a great way to start phase two.

Was Anti-Semitism the pivotal cause for the Great Depression?

The Smoot-Hawley Act of 1930 had very little relevance to the Great Depression, either to its beginning or its continuation.
The Depression had already begun prior to 1930, and was brought about in large part from betting, speculative short sales and trading 'on margin'. These can all be translated as foolish investment for easy money. Enough of this activity can lead to a crash, because the many parties and entities involved were not able to pay the bills and the creditors when they came due. This eventually led to a run on the banks, with the banks transversely suspending payments to depositors. The first banks to fail were rural banks, but the first larger bank to run into trouble was in New York City, and a member of the Federal Reserve System. It was the Bank of the United States. This bank had strong books, at least as strong as many that were propped up by other banks, and was an important symbol of New York City. Yet it ...

A large portion of the unnecessary spending on education stems from the design and construction of the public school buildings. They have been designed to be very tall, to take up more sky space and give the appearance of greater importance. In addition to being intrusive on the general area, every extra foot of height beyond the normal 7 to 9 ft range begins to add exponentially to the costs. These costs include both construction, and the astronomical electrical and maintenance costs, which remain for the rest of the building's life.
Any added height beyond 9ft. ceiling height is of no value, because it adds no usable space or square footage. In addition, rather than contribute to a warm, personal and memorable learning environment, which includes the natural sunlight shining through the windows, these designs also omit windows in the classrooms. From one end to the other, they reflect the cold institutionalism and collectivism that is at the center of leftist, central planning ...
