It seems that the present dispute among many Americans regarding our alliance with Israel is based on hot-headed, inappropriate jabs on social media, rather than the underlying, long-term realities, because Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as Israel as a whole, does not want to be dependent on United States intervention, nor do they want to be dependent on the United States for money or aid. They take very little direct money from the United States, and the aid sent them is in the form of military equipment that they buy, and it is neither a waste of our money nor a drain on our country to help them when they need it. The small amount of money that is provided directly is little compared to the billions in waste and fraud that is being found almost daily.
