When a great leader such as president Trump tries to be "moderate" or "balanced" in selecting people for different positions, to try and not appear "radical", it always turns out badly. With such selections, there is always higher inertia when it comes to both solving real problems and honoring justice, and it amounts to an unnecessary waste of time. This is because, due to the "progressive" agenda that has been operating in this country, what is considered "radical" or "far right" today was simply the everyday standard in the 1980's.

The people behind the invention of smart phones, AI and violent video games, though not usually associated with the "far left", have a lot of ignorance as to real, normal life. They don't know how society as a whole is supposed to function, they don't often, if ever reflect on human nature, they have little to no appreciation of the ecological system or environment despite their claims of being "green", and they do not seriously consider the social consequences that their inventions may have on society. Yet they set themselves up as viable leaders, and arrogantly demand that everyone, everywhere accept their ideas and the changes they might bring as the inevitable future.

At the core of all of this is an atheistic philosophy that denies the value of human labor, human intelligence and the ability to think for ones self, with the result being that the machine, the robot and the computer become a replacement or a tyrant, rather than a help. With the absence of Christian underpinning also comes the absence of honesty with the public regarding their true intentions. In these and other ways, they are no different than the practitioners of Islam, who either misrepresent their plans, or make promises at the start of their plans that they never intend to keep, in order to give themselves and their ideas a foot in the door. In this scheme, things such as nature, beauty, space or privacy are either disregarded, or else serve as an uneasy reminder of their error, and a Designer who came before them who is much more powerful than they ever thought about being - a Designer whom they have never known and have never consulted. This is why, when such people are in power or places of influence, they often strike out maliciously and wage both economic and psychological warfare against those who have these things, and it is why tyrants such as Joseph Stalin were never content just to see nature and process what was there. They had to do something about it - cut it down and plant fruit trees, or cut it down and somehow replace it with something man made.
All of this and more is why character matters, and why society needs to be willing to judge the character of the inventors, along with the character of any developer willing to assist in building its related infrastructure, because it is not necessary for it to put itself under the lead of infantile minds, who live in virtual reality and want you to join.
