One of the main objectives of communism is to control the basic necessities of life, to the detriment of any higher aspiration. These necessities include housing, energy and knowledge / learning. Because of the importance of these necessities and its desire to control them, one of the main arguments that Communism makes to sell their program is the promise of "jobs" in these very spheres. They know that the quest to de-industrialize the United States cannot be done successfully without, at the same time, offering their own replacement form of work.
Because of this, they seek to enlist the trades, especially those involved in construction, so that in the place of high quality, private sector industry is a proliferation of houses, "green energy" projects and artificial intelligence buildings, as well as the placement of other, more 'normal' things in areas where they are not needed or wanted. Involved in these activities is the purchasing and / or rezoning of rural land, and sometimes the sale of county property.
All of this serves to undermine people's existing freedom, privacy, and the very ability to own or keep private property. It is construction that is dependent on and that furthers central control, with its foot soldiers in local mayor, county commission and zoning seats, rather than on what society truly needs or even wants. This construction requires the enlistment of individuals seeking a productive means of living who are nonetheless ignorant of the true scheme they are helping to build.
This is why it is important for American citizens not only to learn about the elements of a given trade itself, but to learn about society and how it is supposed to work, so that they know when / under what circumstances a trade is truly of value. The more people have this knowledge, the less communism can build its kingdom.
